“Transcending into a God” has its origin in a song I wrote back in 1998, when I was jamming with an old friend in the far north of Sweden. Some rehearsal tapes survived through the years and some of the songs/riffs on them ended upon early Grá releases. I always wanted to continue working on this song but I could never really find a place where it would fit, so the years passed by. But here it is, 22 years later.

lyrics
Transcending into a God
I hunger for the emptiness
The hollow paths of vanished time
Be my guide oh darkened queen
Ablaze, rekindled, eruptive
I submit myself to the underworld
Below this realm lies our kingdom
My seductress, concealed and clad in ice
You will greet me at the end of my journey
"I open my eyes and see my wounds and the blood
It's almost black and it's dripping upwards
And when I look down I see the sky
As I enter her halls I can finally breathe again
And there is a scent of grace in the air
I can feel her presence"
Now lay me down into your bed
Let's reach the edge of space and time
Rest my soul oh darkened queen
Erase my pain and corrupt me
I devote myself to thy baneful force
To cast your veil and your shadow
As the beast from the sea shall proudly rise
And the wolf will break free from its shackles

The single is ridiculously infectious, and I look forward to the full length. Heljarmadr’s vocals rejuvenated Dark Funeral, and I was happy to come across his own band. Frosty Bear

Grá’s newest album hits like a Swedish Abbath record, from the vocals, to the stripped down approach, to the influences. I’ll be listening to this and Dread Reaver back to back. Lycaon rules. Metallurgical Fire
Utterly indescribable new record from Greek metal band Locust Leaves features corkscrewing tempos, manic vocal shifts & dense arrangements. Bandcamp New & Notable Mar 6, 2017

What an impressive piece of black metal. This one-man hurricane is pure art. Sgah‘gahsowáh creates an haunting atmosphere. He puts so much soul in his music. Sælzer Bub
